Shrestha Basu Mallick

Shrestha is a Product enthusiast who is experienced in applying AI, Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing to enhance sales and marketing products. Today, she leads the company’s efforts at Salesforce. 

Her work has taken her across the US to support various ventures in sectors ranging from Consultancy, Semiconductors, Computer Software, and today Enterprise Cloud Computing. After being a Graduate Research Assistant at Stanford University for over 6 years, she began her professional career as a Process Engineer at Lam Research and later took up a role as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company. During her tenure in Consultancy, Shrestha evaluated the market landscape and successfully developed a growth strategy for a Fortune 500 semiconductor company looking to target fast-growing industry sectors. Today, at Salesforce, her main responsibilities include leading the product development for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, helping marketers use AI to supercharge all of their marketing automation. One of the key products Shrestha contributed with was the Einstein Engagement Scoring which powers smarter audience segmentation. 

She holds a Master of Science degree from Purdue University and earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics, both from Stanford University. Her multidisciplinary work experience makes Shrestha not only an interesting speaker but also a highly personable communicator.
