Roy Frenkiel

Roy is a proven software leader with experience in consumer and b2b products. Successful track record of delivering innovative new products, organizational excellence, and business results. Great combination of strong product skills and technical abilities with extensive hands-on experience on large scale engineering projects through the entire lifecycle. Currently, Roy is a Director of Product Management at Houzz, focusing on product monetization and strategy initiatives that would help accelerate the Industry Solutions business (e.g. Pricing and Packaging strategies, launching new SKUs, and Self Service). Prior to his current role, he was a Director of Product Management at SoFi, a FinTech company that offers a range of money management, wealth management, and loans. Roy’s first experience as a Product Manager was at Ransys, where he spearheaded penetration of the South African market and spent over four months abroad establishing the first overseas branch, formed local partnerships and closed first deals that generated $1.5M in revenues. Notably, he closed the company’s biggest deal in 2008, fully taking charge of the sales side in addition to engineering responsibilities and beat international competitors in a year-long multi-staged proof of concept, contributing 12% to the company’s revenues in 2008. Roy speaks four languages, has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Tel Aviv University, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance, Marketing, and Statistics from the University of Chicago.
