Brendon Stead

Brendon is the Senior Vice President of Product Development and Engineering for various Sound United brands, bringing 20+ years of broad experience to his position in all aspects of Global Product Innovation, Development, and Management in Consumer Electronics.
Today, his responsibilities include overseeing the product development and design across various Sound United brands including Denon, Marantz, Polk Audio, and Definitive Technology, among others. Prior to joining Sound United, Brendon spent 12 years at Harman, most recently as VP of Product engineering. Aside from delivering amazing sound performance, Brendon’s experience gives him a unique view on how experiential products tie into wider electronics industry trends, including voice integration, IoT and virtual reality. He is described by his colleagues as having a sensitive eye for complex aesthetic as well as functional surfacing and engineering quality. However, his capacity for details in no way detracts from his ability to generate, present, and coordinate business plans, brand strategies, and individual projects. Brendon is a strong leader and a team builder with a unique balance of vision, planning, strategy, analytical, development, and interpersonal skills. His main areas of expertise in delivering world-class sound performance include Bluetooth, Streaming Media, Marketing Management, Product Life-cycle Management, and Embedded Software.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from UC Santa Barbara.
