Todd S. Yellin

Todd Yellin has dedicated his whole career to film and TV entertainment. He has been working at Netflix for more than 13 years, where he has been progressively attaining higher managerial positions. His current role as VP of Product evolves around developing the way people find great streaming content on their devices. He is responsible for leveraging vast amounts of data, sophisticated algorithms, and best-in-class user interfaces across numerous viewing devices to create easy, compelling ways for Netflix members to find something great to watch. He also oversees design, member acquisition, and how to best leverage localization and messaging. Passionate about video storytelling, his objective is to use this technique to leverage Internet TV.Prior to that, Todd worked as Writer Director to Brother’s Shadow, where he wrote and directed a feature film that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and subsequently played at over 25 festivals worldwide. Currently it can be streamed on Netflix. As a very data-driven professional, Yellin uses a lot of Big Data and Machine Learning to understand their customers desires and their content specification in order to deliver more than the best suggestion to a specific audience. Yellin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Southern California.
