Pia Chakrabarti

Pia a data-driven Product Manager aiming to delight users by building intuitive, impactful products, and believes that the best products are made by strong teamwork. Her expertise includes analyzing qualitative & quantitative user feedback, A/B testing & experimentation, user research & user-centred design, product strategy & roadmap planning, defining success metrics & exceeding targets, managing stakeholders, and collaborating across teams. Currently, Pia works as a Senior Product Manager at Pivotal Software. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas, Pia began her career in tech at IBM as an Earned Value Analyst. She received the “Excellence Award” for assessing project needs, communicating requirements to multiple vendors, and facilitating the selection of risk management software for a $256mil (total contract value) project. Pia then transitioned to Release Manager and created program financial forecast for $44MM/yr contract, analyzed trends, monitored profit leakage and worked with IBM executives to hypothesize profit increasing actions, and minimized schedule delays by pricing and executing contracts on time according to release roadmap allowing IBM to recognize over $1.5MM in total revenue. Following IBM after 4 years, Pia worked at Figur8 Cloud Solutions as a Business Analyst, gaining a deep understanding of user’s problems by conducting user interviews to identify pain points across complex business workflows and proposed recommendations, custom-built products end-to-end, and translating requirements into functional specifications for development.
